About the Guinea Pig Club
The Guinea Pig Club, established in 1941, was a social club and mutual support network for British and allied aircrew injured during World War II. Its membership was made up of patients of Archibald McIndoe at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, Sussex, who had undergone experimental reconstructive plastic surgery, generally after receiving burns injuries in aircraft. This Memorial webpage is dedicated to the memory of my Father, William Thomas Wakenshaw.
We remember him with endless pride and boundless love. My father was greatly known within the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and his life stands as a testament that in serving your community and loving your family brings great happiness.
I can still remember that morning, on the 11th October 2015, with great sadness and the deepest pain. I never could have imagined in my darkest hours that I would be coming home alone, to an empty house no more than 12hrs later....

This is our tribute to our beautiful daughter Linzi Gow Craig born 11 September 1993 at 04.52am weighing in at a healthy 7lb 12.5 lbs. Linzis middle name Gow was named after her Granny Foley who passed away 4 months before Linzi was born. Linzi was the youngest child of 2 and her brother Jamie was 6 when Linzi was born.
